Roll out of Taylors Gap, just off the Great Alpine Road, towards Gapsted and look to the east for iconic views of the Victorian Alps. You could knock out this cruisey downhill roll along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail in half an hour, taking in classic Australian bush scenery and fertile farmland along the way, but don't miss the star of the show - an unhurried, seasonal a la carte lunch and wine tasting at Gapsted Estate, the perfect on-trail half way stop.
After lunch, continue into Myrtleford and enjoy a browse of the local shops, restaurants and family-favourite Mosaic Trail. If you have organised a car shuttle, you're sitting pretty, otherwise remember there's the uphill return trip, which can be little tougher on the legs.
